(Theme 1 – Transportation, Theme 8 – Health, Theme 9 – Recreation)
Organization: City of Ottawa
Timeline for Completion: Summer 2020

The new bridge design is designed to:
•Keep the same connections as the existing bridge
•Provide universal access by conforming to the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act
•Be compatible with the natural vegetation in the area
•Be within the City budget of $13.5 million
•Be easy to maintain
•Be safe for all users
•Contribute to the City’s active living goals
•Be a part of the spine in the City’s Ottawa Cycling Plan
