Ottawa Valley Nature Fix – Lake Clear – wonderful spot for a nature fix

Ottawa Valley Nature Fix - Lake Clear - wonderful spot for a nature fix

(Theme 4 – Habitat, Theme 6 – Natural Capital, Theme 8 – Health)

Organization: Ottawa River Institute

Timeline for Completion: July, 2020

Objective:

This month we are featuring Lake Clear, a jewel of a lake in the Ottawa Valley, that many people believe is the best managed lake in Renfrew County from an environmental perspective.

A great way to get a Lake Clear nature fix, is to paddle on Hurd’s Creek from Manning Road through Little Lake Clear and into Lake Clear. Another great way to experience Lake Clear is by camping on one of the island campsites maintained by the Lake Clear Conservancy, a land trust founded in 1998 that is dedicated to the conservation of the natural heritage of Lake Clear and its watershed.
