Lake Clear Conservancy – Dedicated to the Conservation of the Natural Heritage

Lake Clear Conservancy - Dedicated to the Conservation of the Natural Heritage

(Theme 4 – Habitat, Theme 6 – Natural Capital, Theme10 – Sense of Place)

Organization: Lake Clear Conservancy

Timeline for Completion: Started 1998, Ongoing

Objective:

In 1998, a small group of concerned people met to discuss ways to preserve and protect the natural beauty, water quality, and wildlife of Lake Clear. The result of that meeting was the Lake Clear Conservancy, an all-volunteer, non-government, charitable organization. The LCC is working for everyone who loves Lake Clear. We are your local, community land trust, and we hope you will join us.
The LCC is a proud founding member of the Ontario Land Trust Alliance. We also work in partnership with many other like-minded groups and government bodies including the Ottawa River Institute, Ottawa Riverkeepers, Bonnechere Valley Watershed Project, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF), Bonnechere Valley Township, and of course, the Lake Clear Property Owners Association (LCPOA).

The LCPOA website contains a great deal of additional information about Lake Clear. Please visit their site for more information (http://www.lakeclear.org/).
