(Theme 4 – Habitat, Theme 6 – Natural Capital, Theme 9 – Recreation, Theme10 – Sense of Place)
Organization: Frontenac Arch Biosphere Network
Timeline for Completion: Ongoing
Objective:
The Frontenac Arch Biosphere introduces you the numerous and wonderful trails and routes in the region, but also to the character of this landscape and community.
There’s no better way to get to know a region so very rich in natural and cultural heritage than to walk, cycle, paddle, ski or tour across the face of the land. This site, then, is both your guide, and interpreter.
The Frontenac Arch is an ancient granite bridge from the Canadian Shield to the Adirondack Mountains with an incredibly rich natural environment and history.
The Frontenac Arch Biosphere is a 5,000 sq.km region of the Frontenac Arch, extending from Kingston to Brockville, Gananoque to Perth.
