Community Gardens at Maple Hill Urban Farm

Community Gardens at Maple Hill Urban Farm

(Theme 5 – Food, Theme 8 – Health, Theme10 – Sense of Place)

Organization: Maple Hill Urban Farm – Ottawa

Timeline for Completion: Started 2012 Ongoing Seasonal

Objective:

The farm aims to provide a food production system that sustains the health of soils, ecosystems and people. Part of the mission is to teach and share the benefits of naturally grown food to the extended community and to share ideas and practices with like minded people through community work and gardens.

Join our allotment gardens with your own plot to plant and harvest your food, connect with nature, meet your neighbours and let cultural exchange sprout.

The gardeners at Maple Hill Urban Farm are a remarkable mix of people from many cultural backgrounds and gardening experience who offer lots of useful resources and a supportive network for first-time planters as well as seasoned harvesters.
