Asinabka Blue Water Trail – around island of Hull, Quebec

Asinabka Blue Water Trail - around island of Hull, Quebec

(Theme 6 – Natural Capital, Theme 9 – Recreation, Theme10 – Sense of Place)

Organization: Ottawa Riverkeeper

Timeline for Completion: Ongoing

Objective:

The Asinabka Blue Water Trail around the island of Hull reflects the historical, political, cultural and spiritual heart of the National Capital Region (and, it could be argued, of Canada). It also provides first-hand, close-up views of some of the best geological and ecological features in the region.

The Asinabke Blue Water Trail is part of a larger concept of returning the entire length of the Ottawa River to its former traditional use as a major travel route for non-motorized craft of continental significance.
