The city held its first extended depot of the year in June, and it was a success, the city says.
“The 2020 extended depot approach has yielded results that compare favourable with previous years, both in terms of participation and amount of material collected,” the memo said.
Following that success, the city held its second depot event in August at the Westbrook Snow Disposal Facility at 200 Westbrook Rd. in Carp.
Wait times for both events were cited as minimal and brought in 10,652 visitors in total.
Over 400 tonnes of household hazardous waste was diverted from landfill, thanks to those events.
