Ottawa’s LRT Confederation Line: a trip to a more sustainable city

How can you, the community, and environment benefit from the installment of the new railway line?

Come to learn all about how you and your neighbourhood can benefit from Ottawa’s light rail transit system. Featuring a knock out line-up of panellists who can go deeper into the personal and environmental benefits of this major game changers to Ottawa’s transit system.

Marc Magierowicz, City of Ottawa; Senior Planner for the O-Train line will debrief us on the general information about the phase one of the railway lines. Can you take your bike on the train, how quickly can you get on the train, will there be parking at some of the train stations.

Trevor Haché, Healthy Transportation Coalition; will be speaking on behalf of how the new railway line will impact the vulnerable population of the community.

John Woodhouse, The Council on Aging of Ottawa will be present to talk about the impact which the new LRT will have on the elderly citizens of the community.

Krista Inrig, Sustainable Eastern Ontario; will outline the benefits of the phase two of the railway line from their Energy Case Study.
