FireSmart Westwood

Following a meeting in Carp in which 30 households in Westwood expressed interest, a small “Next Steps” group has been meeting to identify what needs to be done further to protect our homes from wildfire in the forest-urban boundary.

The group has been exploring ways to bring neighbours together to help each other by getting to know each other, welcoming new families to the neighbourhood and identifying ways to help each other be more secure from wildfire and other threats.

All Westwood neighbours are welcome to join our group.
